American Ghost Hunts 101
It's a stand alone program that features reported "haunted" locations in Texas, some well known, but it is a little different from similar programs seen on Travel Channel and TLC etc...The program is not limited to just testimonial stories at face value, but we show actual photos and videos taken from professional ghost hunters. It is educational, entertaining, and informative.
A mix of reality style format is evident as well. A well known San Antonio psychic takes us on a walk-through at the haunted historical Menger Hotel.
We also visit a popular museum that has unexplained pipe smoke. We visit a prison cemetery with Residual Energy Investigators of Houston, TX leading the way. They teach us the basics of good, honest ghost hunting and show us how to determine what's real and what's not.....
Also the show reveals new (and to some disappointing) news about a famous "haunted" railroad crossing in San Antonio, TX.....We interview Docia Williams, an author, who researched the history of the so called haunted railroad tracks and found nothing true about the phenomenon at all. She explains very thoroughly.
American Ghost Hunts 101 is not just supporting the possibility of ghost existence, it looks at issues from objective views. Dr. John Palmer gives his perspective in the show. He is a parapsychologist from the Rhine Research Center in Durham, NC. He points out that "skepticism" can be handled the wrong way.
A fascinating segment of the show is the story of Carolyn Kelso, of Pearland, TX, a lady who claims to witness a ghost of a 5 year old girl dubbed as "Michelle". According to Kelso, the apparition appeared in her bathroom for about 30 seconds....The program shows that the so called apparition was actually captured by a still camera approximately 30 minutes by an off duty Sheriff's deputy who happened to be the founder of Residual Energy Investigators. ....The segment has a brief sit down interview with Ms Kelso. It is quite an amazing story.
There are other photos of significance featured including one taken inside a historic restaurant called the Catfish Plantation in Waxahachie, TX....
